New Year, New Goals, Same Me

I hate the saying "new year, new me." It sounds ridiculous and in most cases, people don't need to change who they are completely. I prefer, "new year, improved me." Now, if I'm honest I think I'm pretty awesome, and so does my husband, family, and friends. The love me no matter what my weight or waist size, but there is room for improvement in my life. I could be less cranky, I could have more patience (a lot more), I could curse less, and I could definitely improve my health.

Somewhere in 2014 I lost track of my goals. I could blame it on a lot of things, the wedding, starting a new job, general life stressors that everybody goes through, but the bottom line is that I lost track of myself, my goals and my desire to improve my life.

So, I've made a few New Year's Resolutions. They're pretty standard, go to the gym more, eat healthier, etc... I won't bore you with the gritty details, but one of my goals is to start small, plan weekly and monthly goals, avoid the scale and focus on an overall better health and not my weight, or waist measurement.

So, my goals for January:
               * Go to the gym at least 9 times
               * No fast-food or eating out
               * Weigh myself once on January 31, 2015
               * Use WW and Calorie tracking to track what I'm eating EVERYDAY

If I can meet all of these goals, I'll expand my goals for February.

One way I plan on meeting these goals is to seriously increase my food prep starting with breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

Pinterest has been a savior for me these last few days of planning. I'll start posting my adapted recipes soon.

Happy 2015. Here's to a healthy and happy New Year
